Weird indeed, if it’s the coolant that triggers cold / warm it doesn’t happen, sometimes, most of the times, the coolant gets to operating temperature and I-bus keeps telling me that the car is cold.
Well, have to figure out what’s wrong with the oil sensor.

ich hätte zu dem Thema noch eine Frage: Wie genau ermittelt die App, ob der Motor warm oder kalt ist? Welche Werte werden dabei berücksichtigt, weil in dem App-Dashboard sehe ich bei mir als Anhaltspunkt nur die Kühlmitteltemperatur oder spielen auch andere Faktoren wie Zeit eine Rolle?

Wir nutzen den Wert der Kühlmitteltemperatur bis zu einem fixen Wert (die genau Zahl muss ich erfragen) und ab da läuft ein Timer.
Die Anzeige warm/klat ist ein Ersatz wenn keine Werte der Öltemperatur verfügbar sind - daher berücksichtigen wir diese da nicht.

Hi, I have this question also about this, but because I think I’m getting random cold / warm on engine temp, sometimes it only goes warm, even before a long trip, if I reboot. And also, does it take this information by the oil temperature? Guess mine is reading bad, my oil temp is always between 41 and 42°.

After "reboot"/restart the app we got the coolant as base but timer will start from the beginning - so this may be kind of weird then ;-) 
For oiltemp: you sensor in oil sump (thermical oil niveau sensor) was either defect or selected wrong LCM as source - or both ;-)
