Automatic driver side mirror tilt home position

Hi,
  I have the automatic drive side tilt option enabled.  When in reverse, it moves down, and then back when I move out of reverse as expected.  

  But when driving, the mirror will randomly tilt all the way up and then I can't see out of my side mirror!  It's almost like the system thought it was going from reverse to drive again, and tilted it back up the same distance again.
